At a craft show quite a while ago, I bought a bag of scraps from a weaver. I finally used some up to make this purse. I put the scraps on a thin batting and over lapped the pieces with the selvages on top and top stitched everything in place. Where there were no selvages, I used a flat felled seam. It is lined with the same wine colored heavy silky as the binding.
The cord is made from yarns using the Kumihimo loom and zigzagged in place by machine. The closure is a big snap covered with a vintage button.
I love using bits and pieces and can’t resist buying scrap bags.
