Natural dyeing

We had the best time in a friend’s barn using natural dyes to dye wool. From the right these are Coreopsis, Yellow onion skins, blueberries, Alkanet, and red onion skins. The ones below are Brazilwood, Sandalwood, Madder, and Mulberry.

  1. I’m just waiting for my favourite dye plant to flower. Solidago gives the most glorious golds on silk. It’s such fun to use plants, isn’t it. Love your results.
