Art and Soul

What a wonderful week-3 classes, vendor night and starting with the Opening showing what teachers do. On top of that the store where I seem to buy ever more wood blocks-just love them and the owner.

It was good to see old friends at the Opening. I wish I could take all their classes.

My first class was Assemblage with Rebekah Meier. It was my first time with Rebekah but definitely not my last-very good teacher. We painted, stenciled, marked fabrics and papers to make a small wall piece. The pieces are machined in place and accented with more machine quilting. Some people added hand stitch. We were also trading fabrics as someone else’s always seems to work better.
